"That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12(A) of the said Act."

6 STATUTORY SUCCESSION PROPERTY IN EXCESS HOUSING NEED
To consider the attached confidential report.

The Housing Appeals Committee were asked to consider a request from a tenant, after succeeding to his late father's tenancy, to remain in the property and not accept an offer of a suitable alternative property. 

RESOLVED:
That the Committee considered the Area Housing Managers report and upheld the Area Housing Managers decision to not accept the tenant's request to remain in the property.

To consider any other business as may be determined by the Chairman of the meeting as being of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration.
