Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Jeal, Stenhouse and Reynolds.

 

 

2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

You have a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in a matter to be discussed if it relates to something on your Register of Interests form. You must declare the interest and leave the room while the matter is dealt with.

You have a Personal Interest in a matter to be discussed if it affects

Members were asked to note the content of the Government's 'Industrial Strategy' Green Paper and consider a response to the consultation.

 

RESOLVED:

 

(i) The committee noted the focus on energy, infrastructure and skills as Great Yarmouth is a growth area for the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership with energy, the port and Enterprise Zones at the forefront.

 

(ii) That Committee agreed to encourage Government to produce a strategy that will drive growth in Great Yarmouth through key sector development, infrastructure provision and skills development.

The Committee considered the revised Great Yarmouth Growth Strategy 2017-21.

 

RESOLVED:

 

Members approved the revised Great Yarmouth Growth Strategy for 2017-21.

 

 

5 TOWN CENTRE MASTERPLAN

 

To consider a presentation on the Town Centre Masterplan.

It was reported that the Town Centre Masterplan report would be presented at the next meeting on 9th May 2017 at 7pm and would then be presented to Council on the 16th May 2017 as the report had been completed but needed to be reviewed before being finalised.

 

 

6 EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC
In the event of the Committee wishing to exclude the public from the meeting, the following resolution will be moved:-

"That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12(A) of the said Act."
