3 TREASURER'S REPORT
To receive an update.

The Current Account balance is £361.29 and the Deposit Account is £3,574.77.

It was reported that Natwest bank had asked to confirm the current signatories and for them to sign the form again. It was agreed that Jim West, John White and Marten Payne would all be authorised signatories. 

The Culture, Leisure and Sport Manager spoke of the revised Internal process for Council Grant Applications  as from December 2013.

Coach Education 

(i) Kevin Dybal from Kingfisher Boxing Club asked for £100 for a level one coaching course.

RESOLVED:
That a £100 grant be agreed


(ii) Dan Brown from Kingfisher Boxing Club asked for £100 for a level one coaching course.

RESOLVED:
That a £100 grant be agreed

(iii) Belton Cricket Club asked for £480 funding for six people to attend a cricket coaching course.

RESOLVED:
That the Culture, Sport and Leisure  Manager investigate how much it would cost to fund the ECB course and subject to this cost it was agreed to fund the most cost effective solution.

Great Yarmouth Sports Grant 2013
It was agreed that the old leaflet would be amended to state 2014 and that Tracey Jones details would be added to this.

Small Grants
It was reported that there was £214 approximately remaining  and the Sports Council were asked if they would like to transfer this into the Coach Education pot.  It was agreed that this should be retained in the small grants pot.

Councillor Sutton stated that he would speak to Great Yarmouth Borough Council to ask for an increase in the Coach Education Grant funding and suggested that the Sports Council formally write to the Council via Rob Gregory who would talk to the appropriate Cabinet Member next week.

Trophies
It was agreed that John White would take the trophies to Cox's to get the trophies valued and the Sports Council would then need to make a decision on what to do with these.

Awards
The Sports Council discussed the re-introduction of an Awards ceremony.  It was reported that there was no time scale in mind for holding the ceremonies.  It was pointed out that the Sports Council needed to consider a simple nomination form and process.  It was suggested that the Mercury be a key partner and to promote the awards.  It was suggested that this be included in the Civic Calender and that this links with the Active Norfolk Awards.  

RESOLVED:
That the Sports Council Members deal with the Awards ceremony as a sub committee prior to the next Sports Council Meeting.

To agree the date of the next meeting.
