I live and work in Great Yarmouth for a local learning provider as an Employment and Skills Advisor. Prior to this I've worked in the Civil Service, retail, and IT through which I have learnt a variety of skills. Though relatively new to the council, I'm working with Bradwellians to outline and drive forward plans for a better Bradwell. I assist people with finding employment, improving skills and overcoming barriers, so always keen to listen to residents about issues or problems. I like to think of solutions to problems and encourage people to work towards them together in a proactive way. Ensuring that together we achieve positive outcomes that benefit all and help those involved to learn ways of overcoming these problems again in the future. I am passionate about the town that has raised me and feel saddened by the perception that we read in the press about a negative Great Yarmouth. It is important to me that Great is not an ironic term when people think of our borough. We have fantastic roots, heritage, industry and above all, people and I for one will be a strong advocate of that.
