1 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

 

To receive any apologies for absence.

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors B Walker, C M Walker, Williamson, Fairhead, Flaxman-Taylor & C Walker.

 

 

 

2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

You have a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in a matter to be discussed if it relates to something on your Register of Interests form. You must declare the interest and leave the room while the matter is dealt with.

You have a Personal Interest in a matter to be discussed if it affects

4 MATTERS ARISING

 

To consider any matters arising from the above minutes.

Councillor Wells reported that in regard to minute number 5, for clarity the minute should read a 1 in 30 year event.

 

 

 

5 DRAINAGE UPDATE

 

A representative from the Water Management Alliance will attend the meeting to provide an update.

Matthew Philpot, Broads & Norfolk Rivers IDB, gave a presentation to the Committee and undertook a question & answer session with the public.

 

Mr Philpot agreed to meet with Mr Abrey & Mr King on Saturday, 21 December 2019 to undertake an inspection of the offending dykes and culverts to ascertain whether a solution to the flooding at burgh castle could be alleviated.

 

The Chairman thanked Matthew for attending the meeting.

 

 

 

6 PUBLIC QUESTION TIME

 

A public question time session will be held for a 15 minute period.

(i) A member of the public requested that Crab Lane be cleaned as the pavement was so full of leaves it was impossible to distinguish it from the road. The Chairman reported that he would pass this issue on to County Councillor Colleen Walker to action.

 

 

(ii) A member of the public reported repeated dog fouling at Veronica Green and Hazel Way. The Chairman reported that if a pattern of offending became apparent, he could request that the Environmental Rangers monitor the area to try to apprehend the offender.

 

 

 

7 ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

To consider any other business as may be determined by the Chairman of the meeting as being of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration.

The next meeting would be held on Tuesday, 3 March 2020 at 6:30 pm in Gorleston Library.
