The officer report, following assessment and recommendations of the Arboricultural Officer confirms that the tree would have the public amenity value. The tree also has an immediate threat to loss or damage as currently subject of a Section 211 notice.  As such, protection is warranted under Section 198 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. 

 

Through the officer report’s assessment, the alternative option not to protect the tree has been discounted given the public amenity value and immediate threat to potential loss or damage to the trees.
