1 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

5 ADAPTATIONS POLICY & PROCEDURE
The Group Manager Housing Health & Wellbeing will report.

The Group Manager Housing Health and Wellbeing gave a brief overview of the Adaptations Policy and Procedure which set out the delivery out the adaptation service to Great Yarmouth Community Housing tenants.

RESOLVED:

That the Board noted the report and the attached policy and procedure document.

6 HRA REVENUE AND CAPITAL BUDGETS 2016/17
The Director of Housing & Neighbourhoods will report.

7 GYN BUSINESS PLAN
The Managing Director GYB will report.

The Managing Director,GYN, reported the salient areas of the GYN Business Plan to the Board.

8 RENT INCOME COLLECTION AND WELFARE REFORM
The Group Manager Housing Services will report.

The Group Manager Housing Services reported the impact of Welfare Reform on the Housing Revenue Account with particular reference to rent income collection.

9 TENANT PARTICIPATION UPDATE
The Group Manager Housing Services will report.

The Group Manager Housing Services reported that the Tenants Forum had recently disbanded. However, interested tenants had met to discuss the way forward for tenant participation centred on community led involvement at a level to suit each individual tenant.

The Director of Housing and Neighbourhoods reported that the former Chairman of the Tenants Forum, Peter Kirkpatrick, had recently undergone major surgery but was well on the road to recovery. Board Members requested that their best wishes for Peter's speedy recovery be recorded in the minutes.

10 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
To consider any other business as may be determined by the Chairman of the meeting as being of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration.

Lindsey Seward announced her forthcoming resignation as an Independent Board Member from the Community Housing Board due to health reasons. The Chairman and the Director of Housing and Neighbourhoods thanked Lindsey for all her hard work and commitment to the Board.

The Chairman reported that this would be the last meeting that she would chair as she was not standing for re-election in May and thanked the Board Members and Officers for all their support.

The Director of Housing and Neighbourhoods reported that after May 2016, the Council would no longer operate a Cabinet Governance system. Instead,a Committee Governance system would be introduced and it had yet to be decided where, or if at all, in its present format, the Community Housing Board would fit into the new committee structure. However, he assured the Board that he would keep them fully informed of developments and thanked the Board Members for all their hard work and involvement over the past few years.
