The Committee considered the Norfolk Museums Service report on Great Yarmouth museums for the period March to August 2015.

The Norfolk Museums representatives tabled a spreadsheet giving details of visitors to museums under the control of the Norfolk Museums Service for the period 2015/16.


RESOLVED:

That the Norfolk Museums Service’s report for the period March – August 2015 be noted.

To consider a powerpoint presentation on the above project.

The Committee considered a power point presentation from Colin Stott from the Norfolk Museums Service with regard to the Stories from the Sea Project.

To consider any other business as may be determined by the Chairman of the meeting as being of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration.

INVITATIONS TO AREA MUSEUM COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The Chairman raised the issue that invitations had not been extended to Members of the Area Museums Committee to attend various openings of exhibitions held at museums in Great Yarmouth.  Dr Hanley confirmed that he would ensure that the necessary invitations were extended to all Members of the Area Museums Committee for such events in the future.
