The Committee considered a request for dispensation from Councillor Pratt to speak and vote on the item relating to the HRA Rent Setting which will be considered by Cabinet on the 11 February and by Full Council on the 17 February 2015.

The Monitoring Officer explained that Councillor Pratt did in fact have a disclosable pecuniary interest in this particular matter in her capacity as a Council house tenant.  The Monitoring Officer explained to Members the legislation with regard to requests for dispensation.

That the request for dispensation from Councillor Pratt be approved on the basis that there are a large number of council tenants in the Councillors ward and it is right and proper that the member should be able to speak and vote on a matter that affects them.
