Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Williamson, Tracey Jones and Marten Payne.

The minutes of the meeting held on 15 January 2015 were confirmed subject to the amendment that Tracey Jones retains the cheque book and not Marten Payne.

(i) Brother Football - Tracey Jones met two of the group who would like to purchase 22 football shirts and have requested £180.

It was agreed to reinburse up to £100 for equipment purchased but not for the purchase of football shirts and shorts. 

(ii) Martham Cricket Club - Still no accounts received or any update received.

(iii) Retro Skate - Have submitted their accounts now.

Agreed £100 grant.

(iv) Broadland and Great Yarmouth Rugby Club - still no accounts received.

(v) Great Yarmouth Cricket Club - Still no updated information received to original application.

RECEIVED:

(vi) Ashley Beard - Is struggling to join a local club and Marie Hartley gave him some more suggestions.


Coach Education

(i) Elfonso - Ethnic Association

This application is for a Basic Referee Course in order to run a futsal tournament in the summer.  The course costs £140.

RESOLVED:
Agreed £100 grant.

(ii) Squash Coach Jake Bond.

Jake Bond is a coach at Broadland Sports Centre - Tracey has asked for clarification on how he will raise the rest of the £1,4000 money but he hadn't replied.  The Course cost is £1,500.

RESOLVED:
That the grant be refused.

It was reported that Jamie Lincoln from East Norfolk Sixth Form College had agreed to join the Great Yarmouth Sports Council from the 14th May 2015 meeting.

It was agreed that the next meeting would be held on Thursday 14th May 2015 at 4.30 pm.
