4 EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC
In the event of the Committee wishing to exclude the public from the meeting, the following resolution will be moved:-

"That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12(A) of the said Act."

It was agreed that the public and press would only be excluded from the meeting if required.  


5 APPEAL AGAINST DECISION OF CODE OF CONDUCT COMPLAINT
6 THE COMMITTEE ON STANDARDS IN PUBLIC LIFE - ANNUAL REPORT 2013-14
7 APPOINTMENT OF A NEW PARISH COUNCIL MEMBER
To consider the appointment of a new Parish Council member following the resignation of Parish Councillor Jewell.

It was agreed that this would be advertised and the interview process would commence.

8 VOTING RIGHTS FOR PARISH COUNCILLORS
The Committee will consider the granting of voting rights for Parish Councillors.

It was agreed that the Cabinet Secretary would write to DCLG to ask if Parish Councillors would be able to vote on the Standards Committee.

 
9 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
To consider any other business as may be determined by the Chairman of the meeting as being of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration.

APPEAL AGAINST DECISION OF CODE OF CONDUCT COMPLAINT

The Committee considered the Monitoring Officer's Report about the Code of Conduct Complaint and the appeal against the Decision to take no further action on the complaints.

RESOLVED: That the Committee uphold the decision to take no further action on the complaints. However it recommended that in the future all declarations be minuted, explaining why the declarations had been made.
