It was reported that the Fleggburgh Football Club £350 cheque had been received and would be paid into the bank.

Coach Education
It was reported that a request had been received from Heather Sayer for a grant for £100 for a level 4 course in obesity/diabetes management.
RESOLVED:-
That a £100 grant be agreed.
Small Grant
(i) It was reported that a grant application had been received for £155.67 towards the purchase of basketballs for youth sessions.
RESOLVED:
That is was agreed that upto 70% of the total cost would be awarded and that clarification was required on the actual total cost.
(ii) Winterton Cricket Club had applied for funding towards a bowling machine for youth development sessions.
RESOLVED:
That a grant of £115.00 be agreed.

SPORTS AWARDS 2014
To discuss the 2014 Sports Awards.

It was reported that a meeting had been held with the Council's Events Manager and that the Sports Awards would be included in the Council's Civic Events calender. The Civic budget would cover the room hire, certificates and 50% of the buffet. The guest of honour would be Sophie McKinna. The Great Yarmouth Sport and Leisure Trust had given £500 sponsorship for the event which would cover the cost of trophies and 50% of the buffet cost. The event would be advertised in the Mercury and relevant websites and local networks.

To consider any other business as may be determined by the Chairman of the meeting as being of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration.

The Chairman reported that Phyllis Ecclestone had sent a resignation card in which was read out and it was agreed that the Culture, Sport and Leisure Manager be asked to write a letter of thanks to her for all the years she had been a member of the Sports Council and that she would be invited to attend the Sports Awards Ceremony.
