Small Grants

(i) Charisma Twirling Team asked for £100 for additional equipment

RESOLVED:
That a grant of £100 be agreed.

(ii) Hemsby Sports & Social Bowls Club asked for £100 towards a new lawn mower.

RESOLVED:
That a £100 grant be agreed.

(iii) Jonathan Earl asked for £100 towards equipment for Archery.

RESOLVED:
That a £100 grant be agreed

(iv) Cliff Park Netball Club asked for £100 for equipment.

RESOLVED:
That a £100 grant be agreed.


Coach Education

(i) Zoe Catchpole asked for a grant towards the level 1 football coaching course.

RESOLVED:
That a £100 grant be agreed

(ii)Cliff Park Netball club asked for a grant to send  students to Norwich for a match day experience.

RESOLVED:
That the grant be refused and the Culture, Sport and Leisure Manager be requested to advise on alternative funding streams.
5 Any Other Business
Discussion of any other business not on the agenda.

Sports Awards

John White stated that he had attended the Active Norfolk Sports Awards and suggested that the Sports Council re-instate the Great Yarmouth Sports Awards which could then feed into the Active Norfolk Sports Awards.  He pointed out that apart from Jessica Jane there were no other nominations from Great Yarmouth.  He suggested selling the silver trophies and using the money to fund future awards ceremonies. 

RESOLVED:
That a valuation of the silver trophies be carried out to see if they should be sold and the Great Yarmouth Sports Awards be re-instated.
