Review of TPO officer report detailing the location, amenity value and level of threat to trees specified within the historic area-wide tree protection order (TPO No.10 of 1991), and whether such trees within the historic order remain suitable for protection under a more appropriate classification.
The officer report, following assessment and recommendations of the Arboricultural Officer confirms that public amenity value of the trees remain, and that the new Woodland TPO would provide longer term protection to existing trees and those planted or growing naturally after the making of the TPO. It therefore warrants it protection under Section 198 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
